Universal Flower Care
Your Sabal Bermudana delivery comes directly from the grower and is cut especially for your order, meaning they are the freshest flowers available. To ensure the longest vase life possible, follow these steps:
- Fill your chosen container with room temperature water and ensure the vase is sparkling clean – the cleaner the vase the longer the life in your flowers.
- Add flower food and stir until it is fully dissolved.
- Remove any greenery on the stems that would be below the waterline to avoid contaminating the water.
- Re-cut the stems at a 45° angle to encourage maximum water absorption. We like to get flowers in their water source within 15 seconds of a fresh cut as it's when the stems begin to seal.
- Ensure the flowers are positioned out of direct sunlight, away from drafts or heating and avoid extreme temperatures. Generally flowers do best in the cooler parts of the house.
- Have fun arranging your blooms in your vase!
- Change the water and trim the stems at least daily to prolong the flowers’ life - and don't forget the flower food!
- Keep away from kids and pets, and avoid the fruit bowl!
- Inevitably some flowers will last longer than others. Simply trim them down and arrange in smaller vessels or bud vases to get the most out of your blooms. Removing the dying blooms will help keep the water fresh.
- Our fully recycled packaging is totally compositable, even our ribbons and stickers. When your flowers are past their best, compost them along with all the packaging either at home or at Marsh Folly.
